| A Shenandoah Valley landmark located in Churchville, Virginia, The Buckhorn was built circa 1811 as Buckhorn Tavern.Buckhorn Tavern was renowned for music, dances, whisky and “high class gambling.”
Now, The Buckhorn Inn is known for comfortable lodging and catered events, all in a historic country setting. Even though it's history is 200 years long, it is surprising how little is actually known about The Buckhorn. There are, however, many stories that have been passed on, stories about the owners and patrons alike.
What people do remember is the warmth and hospitality that the old place seems to emit. Come experience this character of this precious old Inn for yourself. |

| Even though we sit basking in 200 years of history, you don't have to leave civilization entirely. We do have Wi-Fi, Satellite TV, a guest living room with a small fridge, microwave, coffee maker, snacks, water, games, books, HDTV and a fireplace to enjoy while you relax. There is a large wrap around porch to enjoy the afternoon sun and the hummingbirds. |

| Our backyard is the George Washington National Forest so there a number of hiking and fishing opportunities close by. Highland County just to the west of us is some of the prettiest mountain country you could ever see and Staunton just to the east has a number of family friendly activities for anyone. |
